Terms of service
1. Who we are
PPSR.org (ABN 48 634 361 649) runs this website. Contact us at support@ppsr.org.
2. What we sell
One PPSR check on one vehicle: a search of the Personal Property Securities Register by VIN, a report that explains the result, the search certificate issued by the register, and delivery by email.
3. How the check works
When you enter a rego, we use a vehicle data provider to find the car and its VIN, and show you the car before you pay. We run the search after you pay. If the register is closed for maintenance or has an outage, we run it as soon as the register is available.
4. Price and payment
A check costs $9.95 including GST. Payments are processed by Stripe. There is no card surcharge and no subscription.
5. Your responsibilities
Enter the correct rego, state or VIN, check the car shown matches before you pay, and give a correct email address. Use the report for your own purchase decision.
6. What the report is and isn't
The report reflects the register at the time of the search. The information comes from the PPSR and the national vehicle database, which we don't control. Our summary is our reading of the result; the certificate is the record. A PPSR check does not show how much is owing, who owns the car, the odometer reading, unpaid fines or tolls, service history, or damage that didn't lead to a write-off.
7. The certificate
The search certificate is issued by the register. We pass it on unchanged.
8. Delivery
Most reports are ready in about a minute. Keep the report link in your email private: anyone with the link can see the report.
9. Refunds
See our refund policy.
10. Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits those rights.
11. Acceptable use
Don't run automated searches, scrape the site or resell reports.
12. Privacy
See our privacy policy.
